Founded and directed a Product Innovation Center for Texas Instruments (TI). Member of a seven-person leadership team for $700 million corporate venture. Reported to President of TI's Digital Imaging Group.

Identified market need for innovative product and conducted extensive market research confirming product need.

Conducted high-level presentations to senior management regarding the most visible entrepreneurial venture at Texas Instruments.

Launched and managed technology activities resulting in significant improvements to the product.

Developed marketing plan for consumer product.

SAVI TECHNOLOGY, INC., Mountain View, CA 1988 - 1996

President and CEO / Founder

Invented the first radio device (tag) that tracked the location / status of remotely placed assets.

Conducted detail market research resulting in a new radio communication device.

Started a company that grew to $10 million in sales, which lead to the acquisition of the company by Texas Instruments.

Negotiated and received $8 million of venture capital.

Received the largest Small Business Innovation Grant ever awarded by the Federal Government.

Developed and provided key technology support to the largest logistics systems in the world.

Won $71 million contract from Department of Defense to deliver radio device product.

Recognized by Department of Defense for creating product that ‘could have saved roughly $2 billion in Desert Storm operations’.

FINIAL TECHNOLOGY, INC., Sunnyvale, CA 1983 - 1987

Identified the market opportunity, which lead to the invention of the world’s first audio Laser Turntable.

Successfully raised $7 million of venture capital.

Received recognition for the "Top Product" at 1986 International Consumer Electronics Show; "Top 5 Electronic Products" by USA Today; and later, published in more than 120 articles worldwide within 12 months of product introduction.
